A few months ago, Kaizen began discussions with Pima County and how we can support the Parks & Recreation Department and the 51 parks they manage in Tucson, Ajo, and Green Valley. Responsible for facilities in the second most populous county in Arizona, the department also manages over a dozen trailheads, 13 community centers, 10 pools, multiple shooting ranges, and a stunning campground Gilbert Ray. The campground has 130 RV sites with individual electrical hook-ups and is one of the most occupied in the state.
Starting August 1, Pima County residents can access a comprehensive parks, facilities, and recreation management system, featuring a full-service permitting and reservations platform for trailheads and campsites. The new system offers a seamless, multi-day calendar for viewing reservations, the inclusion of campground site numbers on permits and emails, and support for modern payment methods like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Tap-To-Pay. It also provides full mobile support across all browsers, making it easy for patrons to use and for staff to manage requests. Notably, it is the only recreation management platform with full language support, offering translations in over 150 languages. Additionally, it supports over 10,000 concurrent users without performance issues, sends automatic notifications for waitlisted spots, and provides email and text receipts for transactions. The system also includes customized reporting with free long-term updates or changes.
