The City of San Antonio is the 7th largest city in the country, with over 1.5 million residents across some incredibly diverse backgrounds. The oldest municipality in Texas is a major city in south-central Texas with a rich colonial heritage, beautiful river walk, and multiple World Heritage Sites.
The Challenge
The City of San Antonio started collaborating with Kaizen Labs in December of 2022. The Smart Cities team, part of the City’s larger Innovation Group, was nearing the release of its ground-breaking technology roadmap for the next five years. The roadmap highlighted new projects, ways for vendors to get involved with the City, and the pillars that would guide San Antonio as it geared up for a wave of transformation. To properly share this roadmap and vision with the world, the Smart Cities team was looking for a stunning design and engineering firm to craft the roadmap, as well as implement a gorgeous new website.
The Kaizen Approach
Kaizen was chosen amongst a list of world-class design and technology companies to lead the branding and design of the Smart Cities Roadmap and the team’s stunning new website. In less than a month, the Kaizen team delivered a visually breathtaking roadmap and accompanying website that was unveiled at the Smart Cities Connect conference in Denver on May 16, 2023.
